NSKK Marine Dagger [Early Version] by Gebrüder Heller Schmalkalden
This NSKK [National Socialist Motor Corps] Marine Dagger is in NEAR MINT condition. Model 1933. The total length is 37.0 cm. Early Nickel fittings. The Dagger has the maker mark on the blade: Gebrüder Heller Schmalkalden.
Grip: The nickel crossguards are in good condition as is the nickel tang nut. The grip has medium to high ridge construction with nice, pleasing, grain running vertically throughout. The SA runes button is perfectly placed.
Blade: The blade of this example, is in near mint condition. The tip is still needle like, however. The reverse ricasso is etched with the Schmidt logo. The ovals contain the firm's name and location, “Gebrüder Heller Schmalkalden”. Inside is a house.
Scabbard: Dent-free steel scabbard retains approximately 98% of the original anodization. Nickel-silver scabbard fittings with screws.
