SA Dagger [Early Version] by F. Dick, Esslingen
This early SA [Sturmabteilung] Dagger is uncleaned with old patina. Model 1933. The total length is 37,4 cm. The Dagger has the maker mark on the blade: F. Dick Esslingen with Gau Sw.
Grip: The all nickel mounts are in good condition throughout, having good smooth surfaces, crisp edges, and precise accent grooves. The lower reverse crossguard is Gruppe marked Sw - Südwest. The grip still remains in EXC+ condition. The runes button is nicely placed.
Blade: Unfortunately the blade of this example is in EXC condition, uncleaned. The company logo is on the reverse ricasso, is the rectangle style which runs north and south on the blade and inside has an arrow which points to the maker name, F. Dick. The blade shoulders perfectly meet the crossguard contour. The blade shoulders perfectly meet the lower crossguard contour.
Scabbard: The scabbard shell is straight throughout. The nickel scabbard mounts are also in good condition with patina. These mounts are retained by all four original nickel screws, which are all in place and undamaged.
